Hornet's Nest named site of 2011 OFSAA cross-country running championships

The great debate over the site of the 2011 Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations’ cross-country running championships is over.

And the winner is . . . the Green’s Creek Conservation Area.

Again.

For the second time in 11 years, the Hornet’s Nest soccer complex, which is within the conservation area, will play host to the six provincial high school championship cross-country races. The championships are usually held on the first Saturday of November.

This will mark the third time the OFSAA championships will be staged in Ottawa. The first was in 1966.
