Stewart runs to provincial bronze medal
St. Theresa’s cross-country star among best in Ontario at midget level
MIDLAND – It’s tough to think of 14-year-old Tristan Stewart as a veteran of anything, but running has been a big part of his life since the time he was in baby shoes.
Now, the St. Theresa’s High School Grade 9 student has joined the ranks of the elite.
Competing in the midget boys division at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) cross-country championships Nov. 6 in Etobicoke, Stewart galloped to a bronze medal.
“It feels pretty amazing,” Stewart said during a chat with The Mirror during his lunch period.
