Senior Yves Sikubwabo of Glebe and midget Alec Jarvis of A.Y. Jackson won gold and silver medals, respectively, Saturday at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations' cross-country running championships in Toronto.

Sikubwabo, who ran for Rwanda at the world junior track and field championships in Moncton this summer and stayed in Canada claiming refugee status, placed first in the boys' senior 7,000 metres in 21 minutes, 22.02 seconds. Aurora's Rob Denault was a distant second at 21:26.12
